Sweet little Madeline came to the studio with her mom and dad last week. She was full of smiles but also a little shy. What do you do with a giggly shy little toddler? You give her lots of mommy and daddy cuddles, a little bit of swinging and some crackers to make her happy. I love the connection that she has with her family, you can see how much fun they all have together. Here are some images from our session.
One of the best things about my job is capturing moments that tell a story. These may be big memorable moments but often they are small quick moments. These may be moments that might not have even been realized, only felt with joy or a giggle…like the pleasure of driving fast on a speedboat across the lake or a giggle with a silly smooch. I felt honored to be able to catch the story of this family with a reunion for a special birthday in a beautiful setting on Lake George. We played a little on the dock then took a spin on the lake to capture some images on an island with the sun setting. It really doesn’t get any better than that.
Sun…family…fun…
After rescheduling our session a couple of time due to rain, we finally got a stellar day to capture family portraits. This is officially the first outdoor portrait session of the season – I guess spring is really here! I had a wonderful time breaking out of the studio and telling the story of this family. Their sweet 3 year old son was happy to introduce me to the yard…all the places he runs and skips and jumps while being barefoot. Sweet sister at 4 months old was as good as gold while she took in all the activity. Here are some images from our session.
Who Let the Dogs in? woof woof woof woof! Remember that song? Lets see if I can get it stuck in your brain like it’s in mine! These are a few images from a mini session last weekend. I have been photographing this family since Little Man T. was just a few days old. I love that they bring their dogs with them now. After all they are part of the family why wouldn’t they be in the family portrait too?! At least that’s the way I feel about our own family dog. I just wish she was as cooperative as these two beautiful huskies were. Thanks for coming guys.
I knew I would have a blast photographing this family, there is just no way I wouldn’t. With 5 boys and a mom that has a quick gregarious laugh , how could you not? We got lots of shots with the fall leaves but the best part of the session was when we found this old barn. This barn was so amazing that words can’t even say…but I’m kind of a barn geek! This barn was perfect, it had 5 different doors on the outside, one for each boy. Here are the boys striking poses in each of their doors…and Mom too!
