Happy Memorial Day

I hope you all had a happy long weekend. I know a lot of people ran the marathon this weekend, how did it go? It was my sons first parade ever. I think he had his mouth agape the entire time! Plus the fact that I got as much candy as we would expect on halloween, the kids had a great time. The following day we have the Harley Davidson guys speed by our house to honor the memory of all the lives lost in war. We can always hear them coming from about a mile away. Traditionally as soon as we hear them come we all go galloping down our driveway to wave as they speed by. This procession goes on for a good 15 minutes. Here are some images I made from parade day as well as one from the Harley Davidson procession.

What a beautiful evening…

Lately as the sun goes down past the trees we get this amazing magical light at our house. Many, many evenings I run inside to grab my camera to capture this magic light but mostly I’m unable to get the true colors and intensity. Always, the real life light is better. Tonight we decided to walk a little so I grabbed my camera and we came upon some dramatic clouds and the beginnings of the magic light. Here is a picture I captured of our son wandering around at the bottom of our property. I have been trying for ages to get a picture of the sun and the flare that it gives off. I love this picture because the flare is going straight towards him. I just felt like sharing =) Hope you all had a lovely evening too.

For a little boy that didn’t like to be photographed, I think we did OK!! We had a really nice time during this session. I have a new “helper” in the studio. He is great at helping me change my backdrops, dangle beads above my head to get little sisters attention and of course, he is the best jumper in Vermont! I hope the little lady got some nap time after our busy session. Thanks for coming.

Little miss personality

What a little personality I had in the studio recently! I think she remembered that she ’s been here before – 3 times! Once inutero , once as a newborn and now again as a six month old. Looking back on the older images I have of her I can say she hasn’t changed too much. Her hair stripe is definately longer and she has that same mischeivious look about her that she did before but this time I got to experience that huge grin that you see below.
