{A seriously fun family} ~ Vermont family photographer

What a fabulous time we all had at this family photography session. As a photographer, one of my goals for each session is to capture what makes a family special. I try really hard to capture the fun times and the closeness they all have together. These guys are so much fun, I wanted to go home with them!  I have never actually had anyone have total “belly laughs” on the floor of the studio….what DID you say to them Dad anyway? I guess I’ll never know! They came totally prepared with practised poses, practised silly faces, secret handshakes, you name it! Their obvious love and happiness with each other is so evident, they were just a joy to be around. This is one family that does not take fun or each other for granted and I am so honored that they asked me to be able to capture it. I hope I did…here are some below.

Their own pose…I totally love it – it’s exactly them!

{Best Brothers} ~ Vermont childrens photographer

We had a really gregarious time in the studio recently! I say this because this is what these two boys were…full of life and movement and action! It was a really fun session with this family and the boys were so sweet with each other. Here are a few images from our session.

{Love this family xxoo} ~ Essex Family Photographer

Many of you know that I have photographed this family before, our last session was last year sometime. It was quite similar, actually I wondered what I could do differently this time. Well, like last time it was a total blast. But this time they had a massive bouncy castle that I took pictures in. Imagine if you can…. 9 kids jumping like crazy with little old me in the corner with my huge camera trying to take some pictures!!! I was bouncing all over the place. It was great fun =) There are too many lovely things about this family to list so you’ll just have to trust me when I say how wonderful they are. The sad thing is that they are moving – waaaaaaaa. It will be a sad day in Essex when all of us have to bid them farewell. We all know that it’s the right thing to do but they will be sorely missed. I will remember you guys for a lifetime.

{Momma’s Girl} Vermont Toddler Photographer

This sweet little girl came to me when she was just a few weeks old. I have had the pleasure of photographing her all through her first year. She moved away with her family just before she turned one so I haven’t seen her in awhile. The other day she was back for a visit and dropped into the studio for her 18 month portrait. She has not changed a bit except now she is walking, talking (full sentences) counting to ummm….20 maybe? It’s CRAZY! What a smart cookie. She does love being with her mom best as you can see in the first portrait. I love that it captures her security with her momma and her cautious curiosity about me. After a few pictures with mom she was willing to do a few on her own. I’m happy because she always has such an array of gorgeous outfits. I hope to see you back again on your next visit. Thanks for coming by.

{Three Islands} – Vermont landscape photographer

I am trying to be better about taking pictures in my own personal life. I don’t have a small point and shoot camera so I tend to not lug around the big one to capture pictures. Yesterday I decided I should bring it along to see what I could capture. We went to Mallets Bay to check out the southern end for some boat moorings. This is one of the images I captured of a couple of the islands and their dock. Yesterday was not a great day for wandering around but with the stormy weather, it was perfect for capturing the lake with the impending storm in the clouds. Just felt like sharing =)
