Connor ~ 9 days old {Vermont newborn photography}

I had a visit from such a sweet little boy recently.  It was quite a surprise since we was born a couple of weeks early.  I photographed his momma just a few weeks ago, you can see her session HERE It’s always so amazing to finally meet the little one that has been nestled inside for so long.  Little Connor looks just like his Daddy and quite a lot like his brother.  Here’s a sneak peek from our session.

PS. Thank so much for the coffee!! It is delicious!

Baby Brody ~ 4 weeks old {Vermont newborn photography}

Typically I photograph newborns at 4-7 days.  So when I got the call a couple of days before my vacation that Baby Brody had been born 3 weeks early I was very surprised.  We had to wait until I came back from my vacation to capture sweet little Brody.  Lucky for us, the studio was naturally warm.  With the temps soaring over 95 degrees for the last few days, it’s the first time I have not had to turn on my heater.  Brody seemed to like it just fine.  To our surprise, he posed liked a champ with out waking once.  There is definitely something to be said for month old babies…he has beautiful skin and he is rounded out just perfectly to photograph.  Here are a couple images from our session.

Sweet ‘lil munchkin {Vermont infant photography}

This little man is one of my babyplanners, so I get the opportunity to see him often. I always love when people first walk in through the door of the studio. I love that first glimpse of the baby or in this case…the 2nd glimpse. They always look at me a little warily from their car seat on the ground, but hopefully, usually they warm up. Little man Liam came in this time looking a lot like last time only very very bright eyed. He wasn’t sure about the situation but he knew that he had his Mom and Dad close by. Liam is up to all kinds of tricks now! He can sit all by himself – whoo hoooo!!! That is the best skill of all – not having to look at the ceiling all the time. He is also getting more adventurous with reaching out and forward, grabbing the things he wants. These are such great milestones. Before you know it he’ll be running around bringing frogs and worms into the house – ha ha! Anyways, I digress…here are a couple of images from our session. One with Dad and one with him looking oh so sweet in his stripey hat.

Twice as nice {Vermont twin portraits}

There is a special place in the world for mothers of twins, I’m sure of it. The mom and dad of these twins were amazing. In all honesty, most parents stress a little about an upcoming portrait session with their child. I can usually see the signs of mild anxiety when they step into my studio. But not these two. They were probably the most calm and collected parents that I have ever had the pleasure to have in the studio….and they were parents of identical twin girls. The girls have just turned one – WOOT!!! It is a happy occasion, except someone forgot to let them know! We had a tricky time getting both girls to smile at the same time. When all is said and done, after a lot of tickling, natural cheese puff things and lots of cuddling we got some nice images of these gorgeous little one year old girls. Here are a few to share.

Oh, and I love this one. What do you think she’s saying? “Grrrrr”?!

Little O is turning two {Vermont children’s photography}

I love love love photographing this family! I have been capturing them since before Little O came into this world. I’ve said before, and I’ll say it again…his looks haven’t changed a bit! He still looks like the same little boy that was born two years ago. I think it’s mainly a hair thing! But his personality is awesome. He has a thing for yellow and a thing for smarties. Give the boy those two things and you’re golden! Big sister also came along for some photographs. She has grown up so much and was a pleasure to photograph as well. I let her pick out her own backdrop, I think she made a smart choice. Here are some images from the session.
