Look who’s turning two! {Vermont children’s photography}

I swear it was just a few weeks ago when this sweet little baby planner of mine turned one.  We did a cake smash session and she hated the frosting.  Ha ha!!  Well, turns out this little cutie pie is now TWO and she’s over her frosting aversion 🙂 I had an awesome session with the birthday girl and her big brother.  Here’s to a fabulous second year and I can’t wait to see her when she’s 3 or maybe if I’m lucky they will come in for a family session before then (hint hint) 🙂 🙂

Baby boy photography {Vermont baby photography}

Oh my heart!  Seriously?  There is nothing more sweet than a delightful little baby boy.  Logan was here for his 7 month baby portraits.  I photographed him when he was 3 months old but he keeps getting sweeter!  This was his tummy time session.  He is almost sitting but we wanted to keep him safe on the soft floor until next time when his skills are a little more developed.  This is what I love about Logan… His skin is so beautiful!  His eyes – dreamy and intense.  His personality…chill.  Willing to have a camera in his face and look gorgeous! Love it!  Here are some images to share with you.  I can’t wait until next time when I’ll photograph him sitting up.  Yay!!  I have plans 🙂

First year portraits (Vermont baby photographer}

Little Miss Lila is part of our “grow with me” plan.  I photographed her and her family a few days after she was born and today she was back from her next milestone portraits.  Newborn pictures are usually captured between 4 and 10 days old and the next session is to highlight their new skill which is tummy time.  It usually correlates with rolling over and sucking on their feet!  Lila has always been known for her glorious head of hair but she has other beautiful features as well.  She is very snuggly and has a beautiful smile and very sparkly eyes.  She’s just a little peanut but is very strong.  I know it won’t be long until I see her for her next session.  The third and my personal favorite session is the sitting session.  So in just a few months you’ll have the privilege to see her again!  Maybe we’ll even be outside – who knows?!

Here’s a little before and after…6 months and newborn

Almost here-maternity pictures {Vermont pregnancy photography}

I was so surprised to hear from a past client that she wanted to come to the studio for maternity pictures. I don’t see her ever and didn’t even know know she was pregnant. Ha!! What a wonderful surprise!! Timing is everything with maternity pictures. Too soon and you don’t look pregnant and too late – the baby shows up early and there are no pictures! I always recommend maternity pictures around 34 weeks. It doesn’t always happen but it’s a good rule of thumb. Amy looked gorgeous with her baby belly. She was all glowy and seemed very happy. Some people just blossom when they are pregnant. She looks great all the time but pregnancy really agrees with her. We had so much fun capturing her beautiful baby (girl) belly and also her son Austin and his Dad. I can’t wait until baby girl is born. Here are some of the images that were captured.

Shay ~ 7 days old {Vermont baby-child-family photographer}

Little Miss Shay made her appearance into this world very early – about 6 weeks early.  Luckily she was completely ready – a great set of lungs, a full head of hair and a whole family ready to love her.  I had the privilege of photographing her when she was 7 days old.  Lucky for me she slept most of the time.  We also photographed her big brother who apparently has been her biggest fan since she was just lima-bean sized.  His love and caring for her was apparent and so much fun to photograph.  With his own big bright personality my favorite part of the session was when he was giving me idea on how to pose her with him…he had many great ideas!  I also loved that he called her umbilical cord the “extension cord”!!!  It was a wonderful session with a wonderful family.  Here are some chosen images from the myriad that were captured.
